Sistemul Worm Shaft Oscillation Mechanism asigura o bobinare perfecta a spirelor pe 2 inclinatii diferite ceea ce impiedica intrarea spirelor una intr-alta.
Si rolul wormshaftului e de a regla asezarea firului pe tambur ceea ce se traduce prin reducerea numarului de peruci si aruncari la distanta mai mare.in principiu sistemul aseaza spirele pe tambur in forma literei x ceea ce face ca frecarile sa fie reduse si la fel riscul ca o spira sa traga si altele cu ea la plecare. pe de alta parte sistemul reduce raportul de multiplicare al mulinetei scazand viteza de recuperare (cu aproximativ 10% ) dar crescand forta mulinetei.
