"This high quality item is in very good condition and finished in black casing and with Dolby Pro Logic Surround sound this unit pumps out a massive 250watts of ear breaking, bass thumping crystal clear sound.

It is approximately 4yrs old is in perfect working order and would look perfect with any system so bid to win. It has the facility to connect several items to it to achieve the ultimate in cinema entertainment (see picture).

It has a front panel that's easy to comprehend (see picture) and a joy to use. The inputs are all to hand and the surround functions are not buried within a sea of tiny black buttons. This is how all home cinema amps should have their ergonomic layout.

The output electronics are 70W x 3 from the front and 20W x 2 from surrounds. The DSP (Digital Sound Field Processor) functions are Dolby Pro-Logic and Dolby Pro-Logic Enhanced and effects of Concert Video, Mono Movie, Stadium, Disco, Rock Concert and Concert Hall. Yamaha provides A/B loudspeaker switching so that a second pair of speakers can be attached to the main stereo channels.

I bought this amp because of the quality of its sound. There are no strident strings, no mid-band shriek. The audio is much smoother and the bass slam has no boom. It's tight and controlled, it handles transients well and delivers a rich, warm sound. All this is evident on action movies as well as classical/rock music CDs. This amp is one of only a very few true all rounder.

In essence there's little else to say about this amp. It sounds great and the finish and layout is simple. Undeniably superb."
