He He He!

1. Casting:
The Breakdown: Luna wins. When it comes to cast control systems the Daiwa Magforce-Z feels very precise and while the Calcutta TE system is better than the Luna 300, the Luna takes the cake in all the other sizes when it comes to casting feel and ease of operation. Now if you bring the Calcutta TE DC into the mix then the DC definitely trumps the Luna.
2. Retrieving:
The Breakdown: Calcutta TE wins. The Luna like many other Daiwa offerings feels refined, and the response on the gearing is solid and instantaneous. The Calcutta still reigns supreme however with a friction free feel and powerful retrieve are still the benchmark by which other round reels are judged by.
3. Drag:
The Breakdown: Luna wins. The Luna wins by a hair in this round with a surprisingly smooth and powerful drag system. We look forward to seeing how the drag holds up over time, but out of the box the Luna’s drag is exceptional
4. Ergonomics:
The Breakdown: Tie. Luna wins on smaller sizes, while larger Calcutta TE reels win. While it is somewhat hard to compare apples to apples between the two reels the smaller Luna reels have the excellent external cast control system, and all reels have a two way clutch. The external adjustment is lost on the 300 Luna unfortunately, and the larger Calcutta reels actually feel more compact thanks to the offset gearbox.
5. Durability:
The Breakdown: Calcutta TE wins. The Calcutta proves once again why it is favored among saltwater anglers, it is just plain durable and maintains consistent performance and feel longer than other reels. That being said we expected the Calcutta TE to leave the Luna in the dust in this category, but it hardly did that. The Luna vastly improves durability in Daiwa’s traditional reels, and with proper care the Luna will last.
6. Applications:
The Breakdown: Calcutta wins. The Luna series is good for everything up to large saltwater species, so good in fact that we wish the reel was available in just one additional larger size. Kudos to Daiwa for offering all the reels in both right and left hand retrieve, but Shimano’s Calcutta TE series is just more well rounded, and there is a reel for just about every application from tossing minuscule lures with the 50 size to massive iron with the CTE700.
7. Price
The Breakdown: Luna wins. No contest here. In terms of value the Luna is a surprisingly good deal, and a whole lot of reel for just over 200 dollars. The amount of machining in this reel is impressive, and the level of refinement blows away many reels costing over 30% more.
Si, ca sa intelegi ce inseamna DC-ul uite aici un review, comparatie intre Calcutta Conquest (varianta pentru Japonia a Calcuttei TE) 101 DC si Daiwa Millionaire I`ZE Light.

Fir intins!
