Orange,
No I haven’t handled Bradia, and there is reason for that. The description from both Japanese and US sites (including TTT) state that the differences between Bradia and Certate are:
-number of bearing (and perhaps quality of bearings)
-downgraded types of materials used for spool, body and perhaps the gears (there is no word on tolerances)
-downgraded weight (heavier)
-downgraded handle
-finish (no mention of fit)
Also in Japan, Bradia is often referred to as “detuned Certate” or “Caldia quality”. So when you put all together, the question is do I want to save $100 or so dollars and cope with all these negatives instead of using tried and proven bulitproof Cerates? My answer is no. Bradia is still good reel but I don’t see it being worth much more than the current $150 deal. Just my opinion...
And for the record, yes I own 3 Certates, I used to own several Excellers, and I had US Daiwa Fuego for a very short period of time.
Stima,
